Kindergarten registration for the 2015-16 school year is now open. CLICK HERE to access our online registration site and create an account.

The following documents have been created to assist families with the online enrollment process, which is new this year in School District 197.

Parents/guardians who would rather complete paper forms may visit to download and print the necessary documents. Registration packets can also be picked up at any school’s office. Parents are asked to only complete one process—online or paper.

Regardless of how they enroll, all families who live in the Pilot Knob attendance area and those who have been approved to attend Pilot Knob through the Intra-district Transfer process should plan to attend kindergarten registration night with their child at Pilot Knob on January 22 from 6-8 p.m.

At registration night parents can turn in paperwork, have their questions answered and speak with teachers, the school nurse, School-Age Childcare and the principal. The event is also a great opportunity for children to become familiar with their new school.

If you have any questions about kindergarten registration please call the Pilot Knob STEM Magnet School main office at 651-403-7900.

Intra-district Transfer Requests
Students who would like to enroll at a school other than the one in their attendance area must first request an Intra-district Transfer. Families who have submitted a transfer request should start by registering at Pilot Knob. If the transfer is approved by the district, registration paperwork will be sent to the child’s new school. More information regarding the Intra-district Transfer process is available at or by contacting any school office. Should a family like to attend a school other than their neighborhood school, transportation will be available upon request.

Early Childhood Screening
All students entering kindergarten in a public school in Minnesota must complete an early childhood screening. More information about screening can be found on the TriDistrict Community Education website or by calling 651-403-7635.

Every kindergarten student must have a current immunization record and a physical on file before they start school in the fall.
